Warehouse Support

We’re a small cidery in Firestone, and our cans go out to bars, restaurants and liquor stores across Colorado. We need an extra set of hands in the warehouse, mostly on canning days.

Canning days (most of the job)

On a run you’ll work one of two spots on the line:

• Up top: on a ladder, keeping cans moving and clearing jams before they back up the line.
• End of the line: pulling filled cans, weighing them to check the fill, and packing them into cases.

Runs are fast. The line sets the pace, so you’ll be moving quickly and carrying full cases the whole time.

Between runs

• Washing kegs
• Labeling cans
• Cleaning and organizing the warehouse

Schedule

Plan on about one day a week, usually a Wednesday or Thursday. Canning dates follow production, so the day can move from week to week. We’ll give you as much notice as we can. Shift length depends on the run: short runs take 3–4 hours, big runs 6–8. This is a good fit if your week can bend around that.

What you’ll need

• Comfort working on a ladder and being on your feet all shift
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs, over and over
• A quick pace and a sharp eye: a jam caught early saves a lot of cider
• Reliability, because a run needs everyone there
• 18 or older

A plus

An interest in making cider, beer or mead. This is a warehouse job, but if you want to learn how cider gets made, there may be chances to take on more down the road.
